The Hearo Foundation began as a vision rooted in the desire to give back. Long before its founding in 2021, musician LT Smooth sought ways to make a lasting impact beyond the stage. Music, to him, was more than just performance—it was a bridge to education, opportunity, and community.

As LT’s career grew, so did his passion for service. The question was always: how can music be used to make a lasting impact? The answer came in the form of craftsmanship. The dream of building guitars and using the proceeds to support other non-profits began to take shape. Over time, resources came together—equipment was secured, a workshop was established, and a skilled guitar builder joined the journey. By 2023, the foundation’s guitar-building program was launched, creating high-quality instruments while generating funds to fuel community-driven initiatives.

From this foundation, Hearo has grown into something even greater. While the guitar workshop is a central effort, the organization has expanded to offer a variety of hands-on learning experiences that bring people together through creative and cultural engagement. Today, our programs teach people of all ages practical skills, from building instruments to preparing food in a traditional Samoan umu.
